Akai MPC 1000 with 128MB RAM

“Selling my used MPC1000 that I made hip hop beats with back in the day.

The flash card has 2GB of storage, although there’s a number of old sounds, programs, sequences, etc on the card already. Feel free to use or delete whatever you like.

The red piece on the left side has broken off, but I’m including it with the MPC because it could be fixed.

I have purchased the JJOS OS2XL (costs $123, never any discounts) and that is installed on the MPC. The JJOS is an enormous improvement over the official Akai OS, and will greatly increase workflow speed and reduce hassle.

The RAM stick provides roughly 128MB of short term memory to load sounds for use in sequencing. (Slightly less, as some is used for what I imagine is OS/device config stuff.)

Also included is a card reader so you can view the card’s contents on your laptop/PC, and transfer files if needed. (This is also a great way to backup your MPC files, i.e. on your computer.)” Click here to visit listing on eBay

The following ports & functions have been tested and confirmed in good working order: Phones out, L/R Stereo Out, L/R Inputs, floppy drive and basic sampling functionality/menu navigation. It’s likely that everything else is working too, just untested by me. Please refer to the bottom paragraph of this description before bidding.

The screen is dim, but still legible. I’d highly recommend getting a replacement LCD if you’re planning to use the unit long term. The unit also exhibits screen whine, an extremely common issue with the S3000XL even when factory new, apparently caused by the LCD backlight. This is a high-pitched whining noise that happens consistently when the display contrast function is activated. A replacement screen should fix the issue but bear in mind I’m not an expert.
