Akai MPC 2000

“This inherited unit powers up, but is untested. To be safe, I have listed it in the “for parts” category, but it may be fine; I do not know.
The screen calls for the insertion of the operating system disk which I could not find. Full specs are easily found online. Included in this auction is everything pictured, and that is all:
-1997 Akai MPC2000
-Power supply cable
-Midi cable
-Manual on disk

PS: I was asked if there were lines on the screen while the unit is on, so I added two close-ups of the screen to the photos. I see no lines on the screen, but the graphic frame behind the text has faint lines which I assume are part of the graphic. Sorry about the photos, I don’t have a camera that takes good photos without a flash. ”

Akai MPC 2000 with 18MB RAM, 8-outs

“Up for sale is my Akai MPC2000 classic which has 18MB of ram, 8 outs, and is in working and very clean condition. While I haven’t tested every function, I have sampled (in Mono), sequenced, used the note variation slider, used the full and 16 levels button, filtered, truncated, looped, saved, loaded, etc. all without issue. I have not tested the 8 outs.
The floppy drive is newly installed by MPC Stuff..it works but I have found some of the boot disk copies I made have to be ejected then pushed back in to fully load.
Cosmetically, the unit is very clean. The pads have barely been used…these are OEM Akai pads that I bought years ago and just recently installed. Screen has no lines. I bought this from the original owner years ago and I don’t think they used it all that much and I certainly haven’t used it much. There are some scuffs on the unit as well as a dent in the upper right hand corner (see photo). Also, the power cap is missing on the power switch so you have to reach in a bit to power on the unit. I am including a new power switch and power cap button in case you want to have that fixed. ”

Akai MPC 2000 with 32MB RAM

“Up for auction is a used Akai MPC2000 with a USB Floppy Emulator. The emulator allows the operating system to be located on a USB drive instead of an outdated old school floppy disk. The condition of the MPC 2000 is used however it’s in great condition for the age of the item. The view screen is not cracked and the display has absolutely no dead lines or dead pixels. The unit’s memory is max out 32MB for over 3 mins of stereo sample time.” Click here to visit listing on eBay
