The following ports & functions have been tested and confirmed in good working order: Phones out, L/R Stereo Out, L/R Inputs, floppy drive and basic sampling functionality/menu navigation. It’s likely that everything else is working too, just untested by me. Please refer to the bottom paragraph of this description before bidding.
The screen is dim, but still legible. I’d highly recommend getting a replacement LCD if you’re planning to use the unit long term. The unit also exhibits screen whine, an extremely common issue with the S3000XL even when factory new, apparently caused by the LCD backlight. This is a high-pitched whining noise that happens consistently when the display contrast function is activated. A replacement screen should fix the issue but bear in mind I’m not an expert.
