This powers on . It has some issues. Missing the back metal panel for 8 outs.
The screen will need to be changed.

In sample mode, there is no Record/F6 button on the screen ( very strange)
Tried to use a SD card in the card reader, and it had an error.

The previous owner said this unit worked, but I am not able to use it further. Sold for parts.

“I have an Akai MPC 2000XL Studio Plus in great condition. Everything works as it should with zero problems. The MPC 2000XL
has 8 outs with FX board and a CF (Compact Flash Drive). The unit was serviced approximately 2 years ago, it was cleaned, pad sensors were replaced and the CF drive was installed. The unit has a few light scratches but it’s 20 plus years old. “I DO NOT HAVE THE OWNERS MANUAL OR ORIGINAL BOX.” The owners manual is online if you want one but it’s very easy to learn without it. The MPC WILL COME WITH, the power cable and (2) Compact Flash Cards one card is a !GB card that has a lot of drums Hip Hop Genre installed and the other Compact flash card is a brand new card with 2 gb storage. “A used AKAI MPC2000XL. This unit has an unknown history, was being stored and was very dusty/dirty. Tried to take some of the grime off and will need further detailed cleaning. Unsure if dark stains will ever come off. I am unfamiliar with this equipment, used a generic power cord(not included) and screen came on. Hard disk would eject, lights would turn on and off with buttons (didn’t try them all, couldn’t get the 16 levels light to turn on). That’s as far as I got.
