“For sale is an Akai Mpc 5000 in great shape. The original owner spray painted the palm rest and side panels. I replaced them with the original set, used. They are scuffed in some areas but overall look decent. More importantly, the unit functions 100% and was serviced by Bruce Forat at Forat.com. It has the memory expansion installed, CD-Drive functions, and it has the new white LCD installed. The 60GB internal hard drive is loaded with the Mpc 5000 Factory content and more than 16GB of Mpc Expansions and other drum sample content. The Mpc 5000 features it’s own built in synth, making it a truly a powerful standalone machine. With OS 2.0, the bugs were resolved from version 1.0(Just Blaze’s rant). This may be the most slept on Mpc. It is a Mpc 3000/Mpc 4000 hybrid. Connect to computer with USB cable to drag and drop content to and from the internal hard drive and inserted Compact Flash Card. “Hello fellow Akai MPC fanatics! Today I’m selling an MPC 2500! I am selling this unit AS-IS, because while it does work, it has a multitude of small issues that need to be dealt with before it’s perfect.

The goods:

– BRAND NEW SWITCHES, every single button, potentiometer, and slider has been replaced with brand new parts. Even the jog wheel is brand new!

– BRAND NEW PADS, the red pads are from MPCStuff.com and have never been played on, I freshly installed them

– BRAND NEW PAD SENSOR, I had recently installed it before I decided I was going to sell this unit.

– BRAND NEW DISPLAY COVER, the old one was scratched up and messy, so I replaced it with a brand new one that doesn’t even have so much as a scratch on it.

– BRAND NEW BUTTONS, every button, switch, wheel, and pretty much anything you can click has been replaced with blacked out versions.

The bads:

– This unit does NOT have JJOS, it’s running on factory Akai OS.

– This unit has a strange audio issue that only sometimes occurs. Sometimes it will only play from the right or left ear, but if you adjust the volume a bit it goes back to normal.

– The pads sometimes don’t trigger the correct commands. Sometimes they will have a mind of their own and trigger other pads. I’m not sure what’s causing this, but maybe it’s due for yet another pad sensor replacement.

– There are small knicks and scratches from the previous owner, but I did a LOT to clean up this unit as best as it could be.

The reason why I’m selling this unit is because I have 6 other sampler projects I’m working on and i unfortunate can’t work on them all at once. This listing will come with all of the old parts as well, just in case you want them for parts! This unit is full of new parts and is ready for a new home!”

“AKAI MPC 500 in fully functional condition. Maxed out ram. No issues, whatsoever. Some minor cosmetic wear, as detailed in photos. Despite it being discontinued around 10 years ago, the MPC500 still holds it’s own as one of the best portable samplers out there. Even in 2022. Listed as excellent, since many other MPC 500 sellers on here seem to be listing as “very good” despite some functionality problems. I recently replaced the screen, so backlight is still bright. I powered this mostly with batteries, and can’t currently find the original power supply. I’ll update the ad if/when I find it. Though, it is a very common power requirement. Any 12V center negative power supplies will work. Just make sure it provides 600mA or more, and you will have powered it correctly. Or use the convenient battery compartment! ”
