“Hello fellow Akai MPC fanatics! Today I’m selling an MPC 2500! I am selling this unit AS-IS, because while it does work, it has a multitude of small issues that need to be dealt with before it’s perfect.
The goods:
– BRAND NEW SWITCHES, every single button, potentiometer, and slider has been replaced with brand new parts. Even the jog wheel is brand new!
– BRAND NEW PADS, the red pads are from MPCStuff.com and have never been played on, I freshly installed them
– BRAND NEW PAD SENSOR, I had recently installed it before I decided I was going to sell this unit.
– BRAND NEW DISPLAY COVER, the old one was scratched up and messy, so I replaced it with a brand new one that doesn’t even have so much as a scratch on it.
– BRAND NEW BUTTONS, every button, switch, wheel, and pretty much anything you can click has been replaced with blacked out versions.
The bads:
– This unit does NOT have JJOS, it’s running on factory Akai OS.
– This unit has a strange audio issue that only sometimes occurs. Sometimes it will only play from the right or left ear, but if you adjust the volume a bit it goes back to normal.
– The pads sometimes don’t trigger the correct commands. Sometimes they will have a mind of their own and trigger other pads. I’m not sure what’s causing this, but maybe it’s due for yet another pad sensor replacement.
– There are small knicks and scratches from the previous owner, but I did a LOT to clean up this unit as best as it could be.
The reason why I’m selling this unit is because I have 6 other sampler projects I’m working on and i unfortunate can’t work on them all at once. This listing will come with all of the old parts as well, just in case you want them for parts! This unit is full of new parts and is ready for a new home!”
