“I bought a custom painted MPC2000 overseas and saved it as a collection item. It has a very cool finish. Comes with a sample of MPC3000, S950, and all the sounds of vintage rhythm machines of all time. This is a cool sound and looks that can compete with the AKAI sound MPC3000. The screen is also blue and it will be used just like the MPC3000. It is a well-maintained product with good operation. The floppy works well. All switches and sliders have been replaced, so the operation is good. We are doing maintenance and cleaning for this exhibition. It is good without any problems with buttons, pads, and sliders. You can use it with confidence because there are no lines or LCD burn defects on the screen and the LCD life is not short. With the warmer days here again, it’s fun to get outside and make music, and this little Akai sampler with its simple 6 AA batteries makes it a breeze. You can see the straightforward LCD screen in bright sunlight, and it has the legendary MPC workflow that is so appealing and really good fun. It’s a robust little design, and I’ve improved the pad performance by placing the recommended corks inside each of them. Now they respond to light taps, making the machine really responsive and enjoyable to play on. In addition, I should point out that this has the genuine and expensive Akai 128mb memory expansion fitted. Other aftermarket versions were often reported to give trouble. And I should also mention that the modern and far more expensive MPCs can all import and load programs that you produce on you 500. Perfect.

My example comes fully boxed and I’ve spiral bound a full printed manual for you too. There’s a mains adaptor as well for times when you need to go inside.

By the way, I’m only selling this now because I’m moving from music making to field recording and need the funds for some special microphones.

Anyway, added to all the above, I’m including a fabulous free set of drum kits loaded onto the included 2gb memory card. It contains every drum machine that you can think of including, of course, the popular Roland TR808 and TR909 and absolute classics like the LinnDrum and much-loved Oberheim DMX. All you’ve got to do is add the wave versions of these to your MPC and make up drum programs with them.
