I haven’t used this in about 10 years but all of the pads worked fine
The floppy drive does not work, I booted it up with the SCSI drive by putting the OS on a zip disk and it boots right up
Has 8 outputs
I used the usb zip drive to load up zip discs with samples and loops and then would load them on the MPC with the SCSI drive
It should work fine but I have not tested it recently, I am selling it as is, I am moving and do not want to take it with me.

“I am offering a gently used Akai Professional MPC2000 MIDI Production Center, with the start up disc. This unit is in excellent working condition with one major flaw, the digital screen is bad and needs to be replaced. Please note there are minor cosmetic scratches, but nothing that affects function. This is a one owner production center, owned by musician Patrick McCaffrey. Everything works on this system, except the screen. “Hi, I’m selling my MPC 2000, in excellent working condition for a machine of its age. The MPC comes with all the original papers, manual, power lead and box (it even includes the original purchase invoice from Digital Village). Upgrades include I/O expansion and 32mb RAM. There are a couple of light scratches on the MPC and one dead line on the screen (shown in pictures). “For sale is an Akai MPC2000 classic. There is fuzz/blown out bass that comes out the left channel, which means the jack probably needs to be replaced or a loose connection. The “do it” button is a little iffy as well but still works, just needs a little extra pressure. These are the issues as far as I know so it is being sold as is with no returns. Could be an easy fix. The LCD screen is relatively clean, all pads work, and the slider. You can still use this to control outside midi sources if you do not want to get the jack fixed. Also the floppy is not working but I have a zip OS disc for it.
