“A friend asked me to sell these for him so I don’t have many details. Both units power up, one seems to have a working display but says “Insert MPC2000 Disk” which I don’t have so am unable to test it any further. No further information is available such as internal memory or disk drive functionality. These are a project for somebody…..what you see is what you get!”

“Up for auction is an Akai MPC2000 with the output expansion as well as the coveted EB16 effects card. This sampler was recently cleaned inside and out, and has a brand new blue screen installed (only a few minutes of use on the screen). Most of these come with the original screens which are prone to having lines due to age. As of the listing of this MPC, all functions work as they should. The floppy disk drive spins nonstop when a disk is inserted but it works just fine. I didnt find this to be a big deal since I just ejected the disk during use. This shouldn’t be a problem whatsoever but is worth noting as far as functionality is concerned. Cosmetically, i would give this a 7-8 out of 10. “This had always worked perfectly fine and then after being sat in a cupboard for a year or so it now won’t turn on. The screen flickers and led’s light up but it won’t boot up. So it’ll need a repair or can be used for parts.
