The MPC 4000 is the most feature packed and highest resolution sampler Akai Japan ever made. Sonically and functionally it is leagues above the Numark era MPCs that followed it.

The MPC is in fantastic used condition with very few signs of wear. It was serviced a few years ago by Synth Prof who also fitted a new 80 GB hard drive. Unfortunately pad 12 has started becoming a little bit intermittent in its response, but the others work perfectly, which suggests the sensor sheet may just need to be cleaned.

On the upside this MPC is virtually maxed out, minus the 8 output card. The LCD has many hours of life left in it, but as a bonus I am including a brand new replacement screen which costs over £250. It has the ADAT board fitted which costs £350 and is the most sought after upgrade. RAM is also maxed to 512MB.

I will leave a great collection of samples on the hard drive and also include a SATA to IDE adapter in the event that the buyer wants to fit an SSD. The manual, power cable and a wireless keyboard for ease of naming samples and programs is included.” Click here to search for MPCs on eBay

some times when recording it might go mono but a simple adjustment of the record nob and it should be back to normal.

The machine has been tested and it is in good working order.
The Operating System Version 1.72 disk is included and currently loaded in the machine.
Also comes with all the other discs that are pictured, but those are included AS-IS since I did not test them and don’t know what is on them.

Machine shows some scratches, scuffs, and marks from typical use.
The wear is not excessive and does not affect function in any way.
Some smudges here and there, so a detailed cleaning wouldn’t hurt.

Power cord is included as well.
