Updated with a USB Emulator flash drive!! This drive emulates the original floppy drive.
Updated with Vimana 3.15B5 OS

This unit has been upgraded to support the Vimana OS, (3.15 B5), and the floppy drive has been replaced with a Gotek USB Emulator. Original drive included.

Cosmetically it’s in good shape. For some reason, there’s glue residue on the top of the unit from someone who decided to glue mini-baseball helmets to the unit.

I love this thing but I don’t have the time for it. I made a few beats. Unit works perfectly.

“Up for sale is a very rare, sweet and barely used Legendary AKAI MPC5000. We own another 5000, a 4000 and a 3000 here in our studio. This one was bought new in 2013 and rarely used.. well under 20 total hours of use!!! It was professionally upgraded in many ways… heres whats been done…

Upgraded standard pads to Fat Pads for better dynamic response.
Upgraded to MAXED 192 Ram internally.
Upgraded 40 gig HD to fast 80 gig HD.
Loaded all original sample library as well as many custom banks/programs/samples onto HD.
Bought and installed custom wooden sides… NOT stickers.
Installed new fast DVD-ROM/CD Drive.
Bought actual AKAI branded 8 gig Compact Flash (included in sale).
Upgraded OS to a VERY solid 2.0.
Upgraded all knobs to very cool looking silver top knobs.

Ive heard the new akai X and the sound and reliability will not match what this beast of a 5000 can and will do.
The sequencer is legendary and top notch, easy to use too.
