“Here’s a nearly fully functional (Note slider) Akai Mpc 2000 classic in decent used condition.

I believe the note variation slider is not working, which is a common problem and an easy fix on these machines. Everything else is working as it should though. The pads feel super comfortable and nicely worn in, but in a good way. Very easy to play. All the buttons, knobs, switches, in & outs are all working. The screen is nice, no lines in the screen. Comes with the maximum full 32MB Ram and the newest OS 1.72 installed.

The machine itself is a little beat up. The frame feels slightly off and it’s not pressed all the way down. The buttons are still easy to press and use, it’s just not 100% secure and tight. The main out and record knobs are bent. It’s the frame below them that’s bent down some, but the knobs still work. General wear and tear and scratches and bumps and marks are present on the machine. The machine does work very well though except for the slider.

Included with the machine are about 30 floppy discs. 1 is the boot disc, which is needed to start up the machine. The other’s all just have like “drum kit, dilla drums, dope loops, etc” named on them. I’m honestly not really sure what’s on them, but I’m just throwing them in there. Power cable will also ship with the MPC.”

“Here’s a fully functional MPC 1000 in beautiful condition. This was my personal MPC, and it was very well taken of. This is the black model with the black back. The earlier models of the MPC 1000 had faulty pads, but these have the upgraded pads. I opened the machine and the pads and the sensor below the pads are both a single sheet, not the individual sensors that the bad pads have. All the pads, buttons, knobs, inputs / outputs work very well as they are intended to.

I’m running the JJOS free version for the OS on this. It’s basically the most up to date stock Akai OS, but with all the bug / glitch fixes and a couple extra features. I never felt a reason to upgrade to JJOS2XL, but it is also installed on the machine. You just won’t be able to save any of your work on the JJOS2XL OS unless you pay for the full version.

There’s some very minor marks on a little area of the MPC frame, I took a picture of them. Also one of the 4 rubber feet needed to be re-glued and it slipped up a little. “Used Akai MPC1000 for sale. There are two issues: the right side plate is somewhat busted and comes off easily, and a replacement would be around $10 online. The other issue is the “up” button–this button needs a new tactile switch which can be found online. This MPC1000 has JJOS, and will come with the power cable, which is not shown.
