Very slight paint wear to rear top edge, letters wearing around data wheel. The 3000 is mounted to a rack tray by the pre-existing foot-mounting holes- great care was taken to ensure that the unit stay as original as possible. The rack tilts forward about 30 degrees, and this, combined with the angled screen, allows quick and easy operation of the MPC 3000, despite the dimming back-light.

I had it in storage for a time, but have been using it pretty consistently for about a month, and have found that about 3 of the buttons dont take well to being struck like sample pads anymore, but WILL trigger every time if you come down on them slowly, but with deliberate pressure. It wasnt long before i noticed that the screen is no longer visible in dim lighting, so i ordered a new back-light. “For sale is a used MPC 500 in very good condition. It has been upgraded with the max 128mb of RAM. The unit is in very good condition for its age and it functions great (including the pads and buttons).

The biggest cosmetic flaw is a dent on the front of the chassis, right above the memory card slot, but doesn’t affect functionality at all. Other than, it has some scratches/chips that are normal for this unit, considering it’s age. Also, the battery compartment is pretty clean, with just a little corrosion around one of the contacts, which should clean up nicely.
