” Up for auction is a classic AKAI MPC 2000XL in excellent working and cosmetic condition. The only small issue is that the “play” button is slightly wiggly but that does not affect performance in any way. Slightly loose buttons are common on these older machines. This super-duper party machine comes loaded with the 8 out expansion board, brand new
bright blue LCD screen, compact card reader installed, and best of all, a custom made “start/stop” switch so you can trigger a song or pattern to play from a remote location. I had this complex midi switch specially made (by MOLTEN VOLTAGE in Portland, OR) so that I could remotely trigger the MPC as a simple backing drum machine during my live organ sets, but then I chickened out on pulling this out of the studio and into stinky, smokey bars. This has been in a clean, air-conditioned room for it’s entire life. The deluxe 2000XL was made for the studio. Just listen to any CASH MONEY single from the 90s and you are hearing this sound. “Akai Mpc 2000xl. Condition is Used. It powes up and works does have a couple small issues the note variation knob is missing but still works. The data wheel works but you have to pull the knob while you turn..other than that it works fine.”

“For sale is my fully upgraded Akai MPC500. I gently used this for a while in a smoke/smell free area. It has a few scratches on the finish from the previous owner and an unnoticeable scratch along the screen. It has not in any way distracted me or hindered my workflow with the machine.

“I’m selling a MPC 2000XL for parts. The problem with it is that I tried upgrading the OS from 1.11 to 1.14 and it froze up on me. So now it just stays stuck when powered on. I heard you can fix it with the OS loaded on an eprom chip. It’s missing the jog wheel. Everything worked fine before I tried upgrading the OS but I can’t guarantee it now. “Excellent condition and perfect working order MPC. It has been upgraded to 128mb and has around 12mins sampling time. It has also been upgraded with an internal hard drive offering around 160GB storage for all your drums, samples and loops. The unit can be connected to your computer via usb cable (not provided) so you can drag and drop your samples in and archive them within the MPC. This is a great machine and sounds excellent. As seen in the picture there is a tiny mark on the front that could be easily covered otherwise it is cosmetically good. Selling as it is very underused and I’d like to fund another piece of studio equipment. It will arrive safely packaged in the original box with plug and instruction manual.
