“Hello I am selling my MPC 4000 it’s in great condition it’s fully loaded with every option. Eight channel Adat Light pipe .Eight and analog outs,As well as digital in and out spif with word clock. The only issue is the front USB port works but sometimes does not read USB stick right away. When I use the 32 GB it reads it but I when to try to 64 Gb it has trouble reading it. So the front US be port I would say has a minor issue. The rear USB works perfectly. I tested the front USB last night and it worked fine. I listed my findings above. The CD ROM drive works correctly you do have to press and hold the eject button for it to eject. All pads are in phenomenal condition all sliders and buttons work perfectly also knobs LCD screen is nice and strong no issues and loaded with a library of all types of sample CDs from my large collection. ” Up for auction is an Akai MPC 1000 Music Production Center. 32-voice stereo sampling, 64-track sequencing, and 16 velocity and pressure-sensitive MPC pads. Aside from a small scratch on the screen(view pictures), the unit is in excellent condition. (Not sure how the scratch got there. Maybe when I was doing the upgrades.) Shortly after purchasing, I switched to a computer based DAW. This has been in storage most of the time. I would guess less than 100 hours of use. Akai OS v2.13. 128mb memory expansion installed. 80GB internal hard drive. I’m including a 512MB CompactFlash memory card and 3GB’s of the latest sounds from Akai. “In decent condition. One small crack in the screen at the top (doesn’t affect use). Buttons and pads working fine – some of the buttons which had worn out (eg. cursor buttons) have been replaced with new ones, and has had a new data wheel fitted, as well as some foam pads under the wheel to prevent it bending/breaking (common with these machines!)

However does have an issue, therefore is listed as for spares or repair. The main volume knob doesn’t function – it’s permanently stuck on full (however, master volume can be set internally on the OS, in 6dB increments, so an easy workaround). The record gain pot also is crackly/intermittent and has to be kind of held down to properly work. It’s probably an easy fix with a soldering iron but I’m not savvy enough with electronics to attempt this.

“This MPC still powers on, the screen is fine except for some lines across the top. I tried and tested it and all the buttons. The pad bank is fine, works perfect. The slider is loose. The main volume button works but it’s loose aswel. The dub, record, stop and play buttons work perfect aswel. All other buttons including the rotating wheel work perfect.

However I listed it as ‘for parts or not working’ because it makes a buzz noise once turned on and goes on as you play – it’s rather annoying. I don’t know how to fix it but perhaps someone else will.

“Works fine, there’s is a crack on the plastic part where the screen is, but as you can see in the pics it’s not on the actual screen. So it doesn’t impair functionality or anything. It doesn’t come with a power cord, I’ve always just used mine with batteries. But it works and is very fun.”
