“Selling my old MPC60, it’s been in use for years and with that comes signs of age:

The paint is not as fresh so it has scratches, scuffs and very light rusting in a few spots.

The SIDE SLIDES both are missing as this was being used in a Rack-mount setup.

The LCD is visible but the backlight is slowly giving out, easily fixed for less than $60 on ebay as there are replacement backlights available.

Some of the tact buttons need extra pressing for them to register but they all work nonetheless.

If someone wants to work on this and restore it, it will be easy to do for them:
Replace the tact switches
Replace Backlight
Find some side slides.

Overall the synth works very well, I have not had an issue working on it, all 16 pads work amazingly, the sampling, sync, all outputs, midi, disk drive and SCSI work as I use them everyday.” Click here to search for MPCs on eBay

“This Akai MPC 4000 has every option loaded. It has the very much needed 8 analog output expansion, the 8 channel ADAT in/out expansion, the effects expansion and an internal hard drive.

This MPC was fully tested. Everything works as it should except the CD drive does not open. All other functions tested good.

This legendary 4000 has all the sound and sampling and sequencing functions that only CLASSIC akai can deliver.. i say classic because although the new X or Live mpcs have many great features, the sound is no where close to a classic akai.. and i personally feel the sequencer has more of that swing than the software.. i know they are supposed to be the same, but something is simply off with the new stuff.” Click here to search for MPCs on eBay
