The unit is standard with no memory upgrades etc so you have the standard sampling time, floppy drive works fine (I’ve never used it via MIDI myself but when bought it was shown to be working with that)
The rack ears are original (slight damage to one, again this was the condition I bought the unit in)

“I bought this as a project to fix up and refurbish however after playing around with it for an hour I realised I’m too set in my mpc 1000 ways to use a 2000xl.
There’s a lot wrong with it.
2 x rubber feet from the underside are missing.
It has dents and paint chips on the corners, and some text has been rubbed away in places.
The jog wheel encoder needs replacing.
It can be operated but it’s a hassle, you have to raise it slightly whilst turning it.
It’s an easy repair if you can solder.

“Akai S 700 Professional Midi Digital Sampler. Comes with manual, 15 QD disks and power cable (EU standard). It turns on and seems to be working except that the disk drive just makes a loud noise and does not read the disk so I assume it is faulty.
