“Akai Z4 Sampler – 16MB RAM – USB connection, nice filters and modulation.

I would describe this as ‘Good-used’ condition, screen is bright and front panel clean. Some signs of rack use – please see pictures.

This sampler is very easy to use and has a clear, punchy sound. The USB connection is really useful and lets you load sounds easily.

Editing is also easy and fast, much more useable than older ‘classic’ samplers.

Only selling as I bought a z8 and have MPCs also!

I have tested main functions, seq via midi, recorded sample etc and all seems to work ok but is obviously an ‘older’ piece of equipment. ”

“For sale is a rare vintage Akai MPC60 II sampling analog drum machine. Classic vintage 12-bit sampler. This one is fully functional and looks to have been hardly used. Supposedly was originally owned by Maurice White from Earth Wind and Fire. The screen is bright and easy to read, no dead pixels. Everything works as it should and feels nice. This one has been well cared for, not abused. Hard to find one of these in such nice condition, don’t pass this up!”

“This has to be the best spec’d MPC 4000 available – Fully maxed out with ALL factory optional upgrades, including IB-48P 8 analogue output board, IB-4ADT Adat Interface Board, EB4JS Multi Effects Board and the very rare IB-4D Spdif interface board.

Also has Maximum 512MB Ram installed and a removeable 120GB SSD drive in a quick-swap front-mounted caddy (the drive is loaded with sample libraries). And the internal fan has been upgraded to a silent Noctua type. Also included is a new high quality plush-lined padded dust cover (not shown)

The MPC is in very good clean used condition, the screen is excellent, bright and clear with no lines. It has the latest (final) OS installed. Pads are nice and responsive.

Also included is the original user manual and printed, bound copies of the final user manual and the service manual (not shown), also a UK power cable.”

Akai S3000 with 12MB RAM

” Bought this new back in the 90s. Has sat in my rack since. Never gigged. Still works perfectly and is in incredible condition given its age. No marks on the front panel at all. A couple of scuffs on the top and top of ears but nothing I can see on the sides or back. Manual in good condition. All lights work, all buttons still click as they should. SCSI link on back panel. 12 MB of RAM (I think but there’s no info on the display just percentages of space used. I have photo’d the memory slots so if you are an expert you can tell). As with all displays on these machines the backlight has pretty much stopped working but it is very easy to fit a new one for around £25. Happy to post this heavy machine but would prefer you collect from Oxford so you can make sure you are happy with what you are getting.”

“Akai professional midi digital sampler model S950. This is another loft find of which i dont have a clue about it powers on fine and things happen when you touch buttons so i am assuming it works but i dont know. A sutton was missing were it says control and i replaced it with a temporary one which operates and floppy drive outer bezel is missing but i think it still works as the light comes on and it asks for disk. as i say like the other S2000 i have advertised i dont know anything at all about these units so selling for spares or repair, sold as seen.” Click here to visit listing on eBay
