“I got a super early bird SmplTrek and a Polyend Play on the way so sending this on its way. I picked up this MPC 1000 from someone off craigslist a couple months ago. It was mostly taken apart. So I put it together and took it a part a few times. The frame was a bit out of shape, so got that all sorted.
What I have done to it additionally

Fixed the main Jog wheel with the metal one, solder could use a touch up, my tip broke near the end.
It has the pad upgrade with fat pads from MPCStuff
replaced all the buttons with new from MPCStuff, in the pictures you will see the red OG ones as I liked them over having them white also.
Just installed the hard drive adapter from MPCStuff. I decided that the sd card route was the way to go, but have not purchased that part yet. They are only about $15 on amazon
found a matching front plate from an MPC group.
cleaned it up inside.
ram upgrade.

In one image you will see a side view of the F buttons. You will see that it has a slight bend to it. this makes the f1 and f6 sit lower than the others. I tried to get it back into shape but didn’t want to snap it and didn’t have a heat gun. Each time I took it apart and put it back together the screen would alternate between functioning as it should and having lines go down. I got it to stop for a couple of weeks. Then would start up again. Was going to replace it anyway so didn’t really care. Screen photos look off. In person the screen is clean and bright. The side panels are a little rough, didn’t care as they were going to be replaced. Its nearly complete and ready. Fully functioning. all it really needs is to mess with the screen and add the sd adaptor. you can unplug the screen and plug it back in and it will work fine. Just takes a few times. “I’m selling my MPC 1000 because I finally decided to make the switch to an MPC one. This 1000 is in amazing condition, all knobs, pads, and buttons work perfectly, and I’ve never noticed any problems with it. There’s a few minor scuffs on the unit but overall it’s in great cosmetic condition. There is a sticker of my own on the bottom left of the unit, but I’ll make sure to carefully remove it before shipping out. This unit has the full version of JJOS 2XL installed, aswell as a 128 mb RAM which has served me very well. “This mpc500 works but with some buttons issues:

3 of 4 cursor buttons work bad( need to press hard)

dub stop play play/start buttons not always work from first touch as they were defectrd and then glued little to work better.
Generally better to replace but may work as is .

Original jog wheel was replaced and current one works fine but rotates little not by vertical axis .

Rec Gain and master volume knobs little not in the center of their enclosure holes.

Rest works as it should and fully functional

Visually it has many small scratches as pictured.

Comes with usb cable , 1gb sample card, micro sd adapter to akai format (max 2 gb can be read by mpc500 as far as I know), and convenient sandisk reader for these cards . All as pictured. No power adpter included.

Good option to try mpc and then upgrade if liked . Buttons replacement easily can be found on ebay .”
