(Tried the online hack with cutting the square membrane representing pad.11 on the sensor….. but this didn’t correct the fault )

The pad 11 fault also interrupts the note repeat function. When you activate note repeat it triggers the pad 11 sound!

So if you like using the note repeat button you will need to replace the pad sensor ”

“One pad was not firing and was replaced as well as the pad circuit board but it may still have some issues. There were some output issues as well but I was able to work around them. This unit also has stickers all over it which I removed, but there is still quite a bit of sticker residue. Overall it works great though! I had MPC Stuff put in a card reader and will include their card and mine.

I got a dust cover and kept it on most of the time. I will include that and have UPS pack and ship it to you

Akai MPC 1000

“This is my second MPC 1000 I owned and the one I learned on. Only reason why I’m selling it is because I use a 2500 with jjos more. When I purchased it it had some minor problems and I took liberty to replace every board and button on the machine, aside from the slider board which MPCStuff no longer makes, but thankfully was unnecessary because the sliders work perfectly. I also fitted it with the fat pads. All the buttons are very clicky and tactile now, they won’t be going bad any time soon. Only issue it has concerns the alinement of the scroll wheel on the MPCStuff right side board when it was made, its a little off, and with the top plate on it turns a little stiffly for a quarter of a rotation, but is otherwise functional and an easy fix that I didn’t get the chance to do. JJOS 2XL is installed and fully unlocked, all the outputs work perfectly and is overall rock solid for whatever you want to use it for, whether it be as a sampler or a sequencer for other gear.”

Akai S3000 with 18MB RAM

“I’ve owned this Akai S3000 since it came out in 1992.
I think they’re pretty rare as most people seem to have the smaller XL model.
It was upgraded to 18MB of Memory (9 Mwords = 18 MB) and has a SCSI port on the back which used to be connected to some DAC optical drives.
It’s in pretty good nick for its age as it was rack mounted for years.
I hooked it up to a midi keyboard to test it.
All 8 outputs work fine and the floppy disk drive works flawlessly.
The display is still readable on full contrast, but it has understandably seen better days.
The enter button is a bit wobbly but causes no problem with its operation. To be honest, It was like that after the first 6 months of use.
The only other minor negative I can think of, is on the headphone socket. It works fine until it’s turned right down and then the sound pans to the left for some reason. It’s okay on normal volume though.” Click here to visit listing on eBay
