“This is a classic sampler, it’s been well used by the previous owner but still in good condition, it comes with many disks including the original, obviously this is a vintage model and requires someone who knows what they are doing. “Akai S2000 sampler. Great vintage bit of kit, used by Moby, Underworld, The Avalanches… And maybe you! This unit has the RAM upgrade (32MB). I have recently fitted a brand new connector to the floppy disk drive. I haven’t been able to connect my ZIP disk via SCSI… Not sure if this is a problem with the S2000, the Zip disk or the way I set it up so please bear this in mind. Has bit of cosmetic wear / a tape mark on the top of the unit (see photos). Great condition boots up fine using included OS system boot disk. Great clean lofi sound!
Basic model does not include FX, or 8 outputs, stereo out only, scsi port, midi ports.

“Das Gerät samt umfangreichem Zubehör steht nun schon einige Jahre ungenutzt bei uns (Nichtraucherhaushalt) im Schrank. Bis es durch neueres Equipment abgelöst wurde, lief es sehr gut.

Eine kurze Funktionsprüfung ergab heute: Booten von Diskette funktioniert, alle Menüs werden angezeigt, Display ist fehlerfrei. Für eingehendere Tests der vielen Optionen fehlt mir die Zeit.

“It has been tested and all functions works, I recently added a floppy USB emulator as the old floppy drive stopped working, the emulator might need the Akai system disk, which you should be able to download online or on eBay. Unit is clean and tidy as you can see from the photos, there are marks on the top of the unit where it has been in a rack, and the usual marks on the screw parts, these very slightly bent in but when you screw it in a rack you can’t really notice any problems.
