Hi, this listing is for an Akai s2000 sampler with a Gotek emulator with HXC firmware installed. This allows you to use a USB stick to save and load samples and programs. I have added virtual disks to test the s2000 and will include the USB stick with it so you have something to start with.

The rack ears are present on the s2000 and I will include a usb to midi cable so that you can use it straight away.

This s2000 doesnt have the 8 output external board installed.

The s2000 has some wear and tear, but all the buttons, dials and the screen all work perfectly.

This has been in my possession for at least 16 years, and I never took the time to learn it properly and understand its power.
I have tested it recently for sale, the unit powers up and I was able to play some samples off the Zip drive from an old Programme whilst listening on headphone.

This unit appears to have the 8 analog output option installed but i have not tested every output thoroughly.

“For sale is a classic Akai S2000. This unit is in great condition. The memory is maxed at 16Mwords and the OS chips have been installed. The unit boots up without the OS floppy disk. The floppy disk drive functions as as expected. The LCD screen is bright with no lines. The sampling engine is said to be the one used in the infamous MPC 2000. I will say they are very similar. Drums and loops sound great when sampled with this unit. Full instruments can be loaded and sampled, making it a complete 16 part, multi-timbrel sound module.
