“Akai S01 sampler from the early 90s. The sampler has a lovely direct sound and is very easy to use.

8 sounds and a single mono output.

The unit is fully working, I have been using regularly until recently.

There are a few minor scratches, rack rash and blemishes on the unit, but nothing serious. Check the pictures for details.”

I’ve owned this sampler for over 20 years, and it’s amazing to me that it still works the same as it did when I first got it. Included is the original box, manual and a couple of 3.5″ floppy disks with some old nonsense on them so you can hear it working.

As far as I know it’s never been upgraded so the memory is *probably* only the original 1 MB (apparently you can upgrade them to 2 MB – woo!)

It’s pretty rare, and I’ve seen some of these for sale for quite a lot of money elsewhere. I’m just offering it for auction because I need to get rid of it. I’ve just had this in a rack in my studio for about ten years (I used to have it plugged into my TV when I first started sampling stuff from movies) and now I’m moving and won’t have the space to store something I’m never going to use.” Click here to visit listing on eBay
