“This is a fully working MPC5000 with version 2 software and maxed out ram of 192mb. In addition, the pad trigger sensors are new and the pads are upgrades from MPCstuff.com. The condition of the unit is used but apartfrom the usual scratches that any instrument will pick up it looks fine – pretty good with the custom pads!
It comes with some other extras too – MPC Samples comprehensive guide “Beat making on the MPC5000” and a flight case that again is used condition but in good working order.
The audio input trim knob is slightly loose – that’s the only functional thing about the instrument that is noticeable. The knob is fully functional so it’s more about its tactile feel. Upgrade boards are availablefrom mpcstuff.com for not too much money if you wanted to improve this (it’s anamazing website – check it out!).
This is a fully functioning 8 track digital recorder,sampler, sequencer, midi controller and synth (yes it operates as a virtual analogue synth!). It has good connectivity and a work flow that is quick and inspiring. The only reason I am selling is that I was so impressed with it I bought the current MPC X at twice the cost. It’s a great investment for any beat driven or experimental music production.
