Unfortunately, I cannot provide the 12V/500mA power adaptor so instead the machine is already preloaded with 6 AA batteries and ready to go. “Akai MPC 500 Sampler/Drum machine w/ upgrades . Condition is For parts or not working.

I recently bought this unit and realized that certain pads don’t trigger, others trigger the wrong pad. I replaced the pad sensors and upgraded to glow in the dark fat pads, only to have the same problem at start up. I reinstalled the OS and the problem was solved! A few weeks later it started doing it again. Based on my experience I don’t think it is a hardware issue, it could be an easy fix but I would rather upgrade to a 1000 than keep trying to fix it.
