Condition: This unit is in Beautiful condition and is the nicest around. *SEE PHOTOS. Everyone claims that their MPC is mint but when you zoom in on the photos you quickly realize that’s not the truth, well this MPC is not mint but it is in really really good shape, you have to see it in person to appreciate it. No scratches that I can see, the armrest is perfect, the side panels are too, the blue paint is crisp and the jog wheel is silver with no worn paint. The rear of the unit has a couple of finger print blemishes and that’s it. I’m going to upload a detailed photo of the rear of the machine later. As far as functionality every button works, every function works correctly. This unit is solid and has never bugged out on me or anything like that, it works like a charm. All Inputs and Outputs function properly as well. All pads are responsive and soft rubber feel. LCD it clear and bright! This unit was used a handful of times over the years and then was put into a Box and covered for safe keeping. I am the 2nd owner. You just don’t find them like this anymore. Closest to New that you will get today. Look at the photos, it’s very nice, very very nice. Hard to see nay defects at all. This unit has never gave me a single issue, it’s built like a tank and it operates like one too. The Sampler in this is a beast! Best sampler in any MPC! It uses the same sample engine as the Z4/Z8. The Sequencer is tight and the swing is amazing. I used to have the MPC2000xl and I loved how easy it was to make music with that unit and when I switch to the 4000 was even more in love! It’s like the 2000xl on Steroids with like 50 more effects, live swing adjusting of the fly! This is the real king of the MPC series. ”

” Item to be sold as-is for parts/repair. The cosmetic condition of the MPC 4000 unit is fairly good. A power-up cycle shows all status lights flash intermittently but the display doesn’t display anything. All buttons then become non-responsive. I had purchased and installed a new display screen, a display power inverter and screen cable. These didn’t help the problem. Also I had replaced th CD-ROM drive with a CD-RW unit. The unit used to output sound and there are sound libraries stored on the hard drive. I don’t know what is wrong with it.
