“Akai MPC 4000. The 4 pads to the left are not responsive but this can be fixed with a new pad sensor ($50). The internal hard drive is also not working, which could be replaced, or you can use an external drive hooked up through the USB. The screen has a couple lines in it but is easily visible (see photos). Other than those issue, the machine still works well. It comes with the power cable and original manual. This MPC was used during the production of the 6 time platinum album Nellyville by Grammy award winning producer Jay E. Beautifully customized by the great Bruce Forat.

Nellyville is the second studio album by American rapper Nelly. It was released on June 25, 2002, by Universal Records and the indie label Fo’ Reel. Recording sessions took place over a course of the whole year, with Nelly himself, alongside Kevin Law and C-Love serving as the records executive producers. The album includes the production by Jay E, who frequently did most work with Nelly, while the additional production was provided by The Neptunes and Just Blaze. The album was supported by six singles: “#1”, “Hot in Herre”, “Dilemma” duet with Kelly Rowland, “Air Force Ones” featuring St. Lunatics, “Work It” featuring Justin Timberlake, and “Pimp Juice”. The singles “Hot in Herre” and “Dilemma” both topped the US Billboard Hot 100 for seven and ten weeks, respectively.
