” Selling my wonderful, wonderful MPC3000 with heavy heart. Not been used for a long time (was only really used for about 3 years & has been in storage since). I want to keep this amazing, classic instrument, but can no longer afford to have such a valuable piece of kit unused.
The last & best of the MPCs Akai built with Roger Linn (the series continued, but not with his involvement, so were not really the same) the metal bodied (again stopped after this model) beast beloved of so many hip hop & dance producers (the classic MPCs that are used are the MPC60 MkII & this MPC3000, which was the uprated model as used by J Dilla etc). This one is fitted with an extra 8MB of RAM in addition to the Akai 2MB board, giving 10MB total & so enhanced recording time.
Absolutely superb condition, I’ve owned it since new, looked after it & as above it wasn’t used for a long period of time, only about 3 years at the end of the 90s when I was producing.
Carefully stored in all original packaging (as you can see) it comes with this, its full set of disks & manual (also a large number of extra sound disks which I’ll throw in, but I can’t really remember what’s on them!).” Click here to search for MPCs on eBay

“For sale is a Akai Professional Roger Linn Limited Edition MPC 3000 Integrated Rhythm Machine 16 Bit Drum Sampler / Midi Sequencer. This is number 0682 from the limited run. This includes a power cord.

This sampler is in pretty good overall pre-owned condition especially considering its age. Signs of wear include surface scratches, scuffs and dirt/ dust residue from normal use and storage. Nothing major at all. The side pieces are a little faded/ worn from use and age but that is purely cosmetic.

We are not the original owners and do not know what kind of software is already installed if any. This unit powers up immediately and responds appropriately when the buttons are pressed.

Would benefit some from a good cleaning.

“The MPC 3000 is by far the best machine made by Akai! It is legendary for many reasons.

1). It was the last model designed by Roger Lynn.

2). It was the machine that gave us J Dilla’s classic sound.

3). This particular MPC 3000 was used to produce Bahamadia’s first single “Funk Vibe” which instantly became a hit and is also viewed as a classic by many.

It is in near mint condition! Very rare, almost impossible to find a machine of this age that looks as good as this one does!! Very few scratches, no rust, chips or cracks. Fully functional and comes with Operator’s Manual plus Vailixi v3.50 (Uninstalled). Trust me, you aren’t going to find a better deal!
