“PHYSICAL CONDITION : Very Good – Shows signs of age in the form of scratches and dings here and there. There is a bit of discoloration on the armrest and also a bit of dirt in hard to reach places. There is Velcro tape underneath the unit. Otherwise this unit is in very good physical condition. WORKING CONDITION : Good – All buttons, pads, and controls are fully functional and working great. Display is also working great, no missing pixels. The floopy drive and the SCSI both have some difficulty loading, the majority of the attempts to load programs/sounds are halted by error code: FF49 or FF10. The floppy disks and the zip 100 discs are used and may be the culprit causing the errors, but a number of them were tested and the error code seemed consistent. The unit would begin to load from disk and after some time loading the error pops up and the loading does not complete. This was obtained from his estate auction late last year. The unit powers, the screen works, and the unit recognizes the included 3.5″ floppy disk (please note, power cable is not included). “Up for grabs, is the Iconic, holy grail of the Legacy Akai MPC line, the original Roger Linn MPC3000. I am the 2nd owner of this unit, kept in a smoke free, dust free environment and never used outside of my home studio. Fully functional, all buttons, knobs etc, work as expected.
