“It has been upgraded with a high end, stunning white on black screen (over £125 value). The photos don’t do it justice as it looks blue, much better in real life and viewings are welcome. Really adds extra quality and value to the machine and has to be seen in comparison to the awful grey on green original. It also plays beautifully with upgraded and calibrated MPC Stuff Fat Pads (£60 value). This unit has also been converted to a 120GB internal solid state drive as well including the original Akai Flash card and a 64GB Sandisk removable CF! You’ll never need anymore storage with this machine as it is absolutely maxed out. Internal memory has also been upgraded to 128mb.

“You are bidding on a well used and in non-working condition Akai MPC2500 unit. This auction is for the unit you see pictured. Nothing else is included. No power cable is included. Please take a moment to look at the pictures and get a better idea of what you are bidding on. This unit has scuffs and scratches from use. The pad bank A & B buttons are both unresponsive. It feels like the clicking mechanism under the buttons is worn out. There is damage to the corner of the unit. Due to these issues, the unit is not fully functional and will need repairs. For these reasons we are selling this unit for parts and it is not working. There is nothing in the user accessible memory expansion slot. “I have not used Mpc for around 8 years, mode button stopped working, so you can’t really test out anything else without that button. I believe it had other issues like bad cable connection for headphones, but it could’ve been another issue or multiple issues, I can’t recall. Buy for parts or to refurbish. Do not buy this if you don’t know how to fix mpc’s. I imagine there are many people out there who collect these, and have the knowledge and supplies to repair. This machine represents an era of hip hop and is very nostalgic. I was thinking about getting it fixed but no one repairs them around my area.
