MPC 2500

“Is it rare yes! #127 of 500. They only made 500 of these, way less than an Mpc 3000le, Mpc 60, and Mpc 2000xl limited! This one is definitely a 7 out of 10 for sure but that’s just my opinion:). The unit has marks/scratches throughout as shown on pics and also has a bent male connector or prongs( Idk what it’s called exactly) where the memory card meets the connection for cf card. I know you can unbend it with the right tool but I never got to it since I just used the internal hd which has a ton of memory anyhow. The rubber feet are missing but can be replaced cheaply as you already know. This monster is solid as far as build and it also has a lot of upgrades like the memory and hd. The jog wheel definitely works but of course it can use an upgrade like anyone of these 2500’s. A couple of buttons need to be pressed a bit but still work fine:). If you want to save money and make beats this unit will be fine as is. Not to mention that these are somewhat getting harder to find these days:). 10* feedback is a must and all parts and entire unit have been checked for your protection and mine. “I’m letting go this beast of a machine, reason being that i’m looking for something a little more portable for my setup.

The machine is in perfect condition, it has a barely noticeable bump on the left side (next to the side pannel) and a couple of thin scratches on the front.

I upgraded the right side pcb board a month ago so all the buttons are working flawlessly. The board also has the smooth jog wheel 2000xl style (everything bought from mpcstuff.com).

It has the black soft pads, black cursor, new knobs and faders but i’ll also add all of the original stuff (including the original pcb with the old jog wheel).

“the 2500 is i think the last of the classics. the 5000’s way better than it’s reputation but it’s kind of bloated and the synth’s terrible. i’ve had a couple of 1000’s and whilst they’re meant to be be basically the same machine under the hood i feel the 2500 sounds a little better. there’s a bit more presence and air to the samples i always found the 1000 to be a little boxy, if more portable, but maybe that’s just me. the pads however are way better.

this one comes with a hard drive, 80gigs ( i will double check this) and it’s in really good condition with no marks to speak of. it’s got the original packaging and manuals too for transport. i’ll post shots of these later in week.

full disclosure the guy i bought it from had had some of the switches replaced and sold it as fully functional. he obviously didn’t use the bar advance buttons as they’re a bit non responsive. i don’t tend to use them either so it’s it been a problem for me but none the less it’s important to declare this. also there’s some paint wear on the jog shell but it’s still super responsive and clicky.” Click here to visit listing on eBay

This unit is being sold as non working as some of the buttons do not work anymore.

Some of the cursor buttons need a firmer press

Some of the F buttons don’t work at all anymore

All the pads work fine

The Q3 button is loose but works (see photos)

All the transport buttons work fine and so does the jog wheel.

The back of the folding display still has the plastic film attached that most people peel off when they unbox it.

However due to the fact that some of the tactile buttons are worn out it makes it difficult to make a beat

The unit is blessed with an internal hard drive which is a really nice upgrade

The paint at the front of the unit came off when I removed some old stickers that had been on for years.

The screen is nice and bright with no dead pixels

The outputs and inputs are all working fine

This is strictly sold as a spares or repairs non fully working unit. You will have to repair the buttons to get it to work to it’s full potential
