This has been my daily machine for two years. It runs well. Couple of buttons can stick a little but still function ok. Pads, faders, controls all work well.

Only defect is a small crack in screen. Alignment is slightly off. See photos.

Software 2004 version.

“An Akai MPC 2000XL in good working condition. This sampler has acquired a legendary status within the boom bap and trip-hop communities and has been used by legendary producers like Kanye West and Pete Rock. Q-Tip even posed with the sampler on the cover of his second studio album called ‘The Renaissance’.
The fader pot doesn’t work and I haven’t replaced it because I never used it anyway, however the pot can easily be replaced with parts online which total around £10.
Apart from this and some minor cosmetic damage, which you can see in the pictures, the product in in great condition.
It uses an internal zip disk reader to save your samples, sequences and songs. I will supply multiple zip disks with the MPC which have sounds on them, as well as free space, however, the files already on the zip disks can be wiped to create more space.” Click here to search for MPCs on eBay

“This MPC2000XL has been used and has shown to be partially functional BUT with issues.

Unit powers on and Screen is fully readable with no missing lines. Sampler works, pads and buttons are in good working, and slider works, although post is missing. it is missing power button cap, but button still clicks fine on and off.

Regarding its issues, the internal MCD drive does not read SM or SD cards, only CF. Outputs 2,4,5 & 7 of the 8 outs are not working, and unit seems to overheat after extensive use. It is in overall good cosmetic condition, but please see pics for details. It is sold AS-IS/ for parts or repairs. It’ll come just as pictured. Unit ONLY.
