Mpc 2000XL. Not in great shape, but not terrible. Can be used for parts or fixed up.

Good: Unit power on, screen has no lines, looks great. Jog wheel works, cursors work. Sequencer works, play and record works, note variation slider turns on. The paint and metal is in nice shape. Shift buttons and numbers seem to work. Headphone jack works and you can clearly hear metronome.

Bad: disk drive is not working, sounds like no power, buttons are missing see pics, not sure if pad sensors work.

Note variation slider is broken off . Backlight is not working. F6 button is missing, and 7 is missing.

I am including part of a button, a new disk with 16 sounds and what I believe is a new note variation slider

“AKAI MPC 2000XL MIDI PRODUCTION CENTER Sampler Sequencer Drum Pad – please read. Condition is Used.

I bought this machine used and it is a beast. Has that classic feel and sound, definitely a piece of history… I haven’t had a chance to use it as much as it deserves. Dont do much recording anymore either so I need to part with it.

Just cleaned it up, had LCD screen professionally replaced a couple months back.

This machine has the 32mb memory expansion

THE “B” PAD BANK DOES NOT ENGAGE AND THE LIGHT FOR THE B PAD BANK DOES NOT COME ON MOST TIMES.. sometimes it will come on of you press it enough times.. I’m guessing it is an electrical contact issue that may or may not be an easy fix. However it does not affect the functioning of other pad banks.

The zip drive hooks up to the SCSI port and is used for saving projects, sequences or samples. I am including this drive and all cables necessary as well as a disc with around 70 or 80 weird lowfi drum samples and breaks that I recorded from vinyl records, these can be used or erased and the disc reformatted and reused for your own purposes… new zip discs can usually be found online secondhand.
