Loaded MPC2000XL with fully upgraded memory and effects board and 8 output board.
Digital and SMPT I/O

2G Compact flash instead of floppy for unlimited storage. Comes up as internal 2G hard disk (must be inserted before starting unit).
Included 2G card has standard drum sets (909, etc) loaded.

Original and extra copy of manual.

Also includes 100M external SCSI zip disk for loading from zip disks.
And 4 Zip disks.
SCSI cable not included (I still use it with other units). Can be purchased from mpcstuff com. They will make sure you get the right cable, SCSI comes with a lot of different connectors.

I’m including an extra external USB 100M Zip drive in box. I bought it to read and write zip drives from my PC, but could not get a driver to work in Windows 10.

“DJ Jazzy Jeff gave me this MPC IN 2007 because someone stole mine. The unit has some wear on it. The data wheel and slider both need to be replaced but those parts are so sold online. I’ve used it from 2007 through summer 2020 before I finally upgraded to the LIVE 2. This unit has 8 outs on the back and the memory is maxed out. There is no effects card unfortunately. “For sale is this MPC 2000xl. This is a fully upgraded mpc. It has 32MB ram, 8 outs, FX card, and hot swappable microtech card reader. I only used this with compact flash cards and ran it with a 16gb card. Pads all function perfectly and all buttons working. Screen is in great condition. No missing pixels or anything odd with screen. You get 189.2 seconds of stereo sampling time and 378.6 seconds of mono sampling. For cosmetics there are a few small scratches that was there since I got it from previous owner. If your looking for a fully upgraded 2000xl then look no further. If you don’t care for the FX board or the 8 outs or even the hot swappable card then this isn’t the listing for you, but down the line if you need these parts they are not cheap or readily available from your local electronics store.” Click here to visit listing on eBay

“Akai MPC 2000XL MIDI Production Center.

The MPC 2000XL is used and works fine. It has some depreciation which is reflective of the price. It also comes with an instructional manual.

The Jaz drive is used and works. It does have a chip, some wear and tear, it is very delicate, but it works. The Zip Drive isn’t currently installed but that could be fixed.

I purchased this MPC 2000XL 12 years ago used and it has been collecting dust as of late. It has worked fine for me for over a decade. The Jaz drive is delicate due to some falls, but it works too. Just be careful with it. I taped it closed shut but it works. Once again, this is reflective of the selling price.

You can also install the Zip Drive with a YouTube instruction video and some elbow grease.

I hate to let this piece of equipment go, but I want to clear up my music gear for some expensive video gear.

This is an incredible purchase for a repair and upgrade project.
