There is average handling wear, and the left input jack on the back is chipped. However, you can still plug in a source and sample as normal, no issues there. The Gotek floppy emulator was recently installed and works as a great floppy replacement. “Akai MPC 2000XL. 32Meg installed. Pad sensors have been upgraded and has a Compact Flash drive installed. Record level and main volume pots also replaced. All three courtesy of MPCstuff.com. Screen is perfect. Up cursor arrow works but you need to press it firmly. Slider on left is broken. I have a brand new replacement which I will provide with the sale along with the spacer and fader cap required. Power button rear works but the black cap is missing. Again I have a brand new replacement which I will provide with the sale. Data wheel is also upgraded to a metal one courtesy of MPCstuff.com. “This is a lightly used MPC2000XL (blue edition) that came straight from Japan. It has the original floppy disk zip drive, original pads, and all original buttons, pads, and side plates. 

There are almost no visible scratches or blemishes on the faceplate, and the pads are extremely clean, especially considering the age.

It has been serviced and I’ve done a thorough test to the best of my ability, and there are no problems with the unit.

This MPC is a clear example of how well equipment is taken care of in Japan, especially when compared side by side with the condition of MPCs owned in the US. If you’re looking for a clean, working, one-user owned MPC2000XL, then this is the one you want.

There is a slightly noticeable scratch on the screen, but once the power is on, it’s not visible.

“AKAI MPC2000XL MIDI PRODUCTION CENTER Lot with SCSI Zip Drive, USB Zip drive for computer transfer, 11 Zip disks, 38 Floppy disks, and necessary cables to get going. Shipped UPS Ground.

Comes with 11 zip 100 MB disks that all work with the MPC, 7 of the zip disks do not work with the USB Zip drive. I left sticky notes on the zip disks that do not work with the USB zip drive.

Comes with 38 unused floppy disks in a holder that has a damaged hinge but is in fair condition. All pads and buttons have been tested and work great.

Everything has been tested and works great. The screen on the MPC has some wear but is in good functional condition. The MPC has 32 MB of memory and has a floppy drive that still works great. Comes with power cable and SCSI cable for the Zip drive.”
