“Akai Professional MPC 2000. Used condition. Has all buttons and knobs. Shows signs of wear on the pad edges. Some surface scratches to LCD screen. Scuffs and scrapes to edges of the unit and plastic from face.

Unit powers up, using a cord I found but I don’t think original to machine (will include). LCD and all indicator lights seem to work fine. On power up, boot rom v 1.0 is shown which then morphs to an scsi:7 reading after some jumble in the display, then to insert mpc2000 disk! Reading. “Up for auction is a used Akai MPC 2000 MIDI production Sampler/ Drum Machine. It comes with the 8 analog out expansion card and scsi port. Machine shows signs of use. It is missing the record level knob, main fader knob and the on/off switch cap is missing (see pics). Also has scratches and some minor dings , pads show a little wear too. Screen has a little burn in ( see pics) but display still looks good. Unit powers up, and reads OS from floppy drive. That’s the extent of my testing. Everything appears to function as it should. However due to the units age and condition I’m selling as is no returns accepted. Comes with power cord and 1.72 operating system floppy disc.”

No manual or any other items not specifically listed above. Does *not* have: SMPTE, Flash or EB16 FX boards installed.

MPC is in perfect working order, with original screen. (No lines, but one did appear once, a year ago, and never happened again).

Came to me in a very sorry state and carefully restored – Pad Sensors and NV Slider both replaced. All internal parts removed and cleaned. Case cleaned but still all-original paintwork.

Rear panel paint has scratches (see picture) and some light marks and chips on the front edge.

All switches, ports and buttons in full working order.

Accessories also in working order, but power supply for SCSI Zip drive has needed a minor repair on the low voltage side due to a cable break. It is fully working but I should point this out as it is not obvious from the picture.

Sad to see this go, but I need the space and its not getting the love it deserves. ”
