“Selling this Akai MPC 2000. This is the classic NOT the XL. It has a brand new screen which I purchased from mpcstuff.com. These screens are supposed to be lifetime guaranteed. As opposed to the old ones that were noted for going out. Look at the photos and notice the one of the back of the unit. This does NOT have the eight outs but they could be added. The screen is a tad crooked because one of the screws are missing, but it does stay in place. Everything on it works fine. No cosmetic blemishes either. “The unit has been fully tested and is working fine. I was able to sample from vinyl, assign to pads, compose a beat, and monitor all sounds. I also messed around using it as a midi sequencer with some of my synths and it worked great.

“For sale is a well loved MPC 2000 that has seen better days. Unit powers up and I did manage to create a “beat” out of it prior to posting this. However, I kept getting “not enough memory” error a few times… bad RAM stick maybe? Missing power button, play/start button, note variation slider tab and Zip drive plate. The front panel is also not sitting where it should. Numerous scratches on the back panel. The LCD screen has some lines that appear periodically ( reference photos for above mentioned issues). The 8 outs worked last time I tested them however I don’t have any way of testing it out as of now. Although the unit powers on and I was able to sample and record a beat it will be sold AS IS and for parts/not working due to the mentioned issues.
