“Akai MPC2000 Sampler/Sequencer
The MPC is in ok overall condition and has the following:
*EB16 FX Card
*8 Outputs Expansion Card
*32mb Ram
*USB Floppy Emulator w/ 1gig USB Stick
*Fat Pads (Brand New) From mpcstuff
Has recently had the cursor tack switches replaced along with 16 levels and a number of the F keys so all buttons work as well as all corresponding LEDs. The screen is bright with no dead pixels, lines or ghosting. The VOL and REC pots both function with no crackles however the VOL pot is slightly off centre for some reason. The shaft is straight and doesn’t appear to have been knocked but still functions 100%.
It has the EB16 multi FX as well as the 8 output expansion cards fitted which really opens up the creative potential of this machine. I found the 8 outputs really useful when it came to recording my finished tracks to my DAW for final mix down and export. It saves a lot of time in the long run!
The MPC has been fitted with a USB floppy drive emulator which brings it into the 21st Century! Having the ability to transfer samples, programs, sequences and song data to and from a PC means you no longer have to worry about outdated and unreliable storage. It has a small OLED screen which enables you to identify your “disks” easily.
It has been fitted with new fat pads from mpcstuff.com. They are brand new and have been in the MPC for less than 3 weeks! I will include the original pads in auction should you prefer to reinstall them.
The internal RAM has been maxed out to 32mb.
Cosmetically the MPC is in good but not amazing condition. It has a number of small nicks and scratches that I have tried to show in the pictures. All the button caps are in good condition. I replaced the REC, PLAY & STOP caps as they had snapped with brand new ones from mpcstuff.com ”
