“MPC 2000 in excellent physical condition for it’s age. Unfortunately there appears to be an issue with the floppy drive. I tried two different boot disks, and neither of them worked. Infact, the drive ate the metal part off of both of them. I have the cables not plugged in on the drive so just i didn’t get a disk eaten. The screen has 2 visible lines that go through it, the rest of the screen looks good. I can’t test the rest of the machine because I can’t boot it up. Therefor I’m selling for parts. “Item works and functions as should, comes with the 2 disks as shown and power cord. There’s some light wear and some scratches as seen in the photos. The only thing I could see slightly wrong the top white knob is slightest loose but still functions fine. It might be able to just be tighten. Condition is great, all pads work great, all buttons work great, slider works great. There is a slight dunt to the top left corner which I have pictured here, otherwise in very good condition

“Akai MPC 2000 with Internal SCSI Mod, 8 outputs, SMPTE, 32MB RAM, and new Alps tact switches.
This unit has been professionally modded for internal SCSI, The external SCSI connection also works simultaneously as needed.
A Fujitsu Magneto Optical drive is installed and includes several disks. Most are still sealed and are 540mb and 230mb in capacity.
These disks are extremely reliable up to 1,000,000 rewrites.
If you do not prefer MO disks, you can always install a SCSI Compact Flash drive, SD drive, or Zip drive.
LCD display is healthy and has no lines or any other issues.
All buttons and sliders work like new. The smaller tact switches were replaced with Alps switches.
The Note Variation slider has also been replaced.
The pads were replaced with new old stock original Akai pads. The pad sensors are healthy.
The data wheel (inner) was also replaced with a new old stock part from Akai.
This unit is in top condition and will provide years and years of enjoyment.
Cosmetic condition is 9/10. There is a small slight dent on the right side of the housing. But it’s really not that noticeable. Other than that, it’s the best looking and functioning unit you’ll find anywhere.
