“Just fitted this mpc 2000 with a gotek drive and new contact buttons and now every button works like new. All the pads working ok. The new contact buttons are a must on these old units as there a pain to use with iffy buttons.

“Everything tested and working, pad sensors recently replaced.
Screen is in excellent condition. There are some minor scratches but great overall.
The power button fell out but you can still reach it and turn it on easily.

8 outputs. 101.2 seconds sampling time. Upgraded RAM.
Floppy drive.
SCSI drive is included, you will not have to worry about space no more. Available storage space can be seen on the photos of the partitions of the drive.

“This inherited unit powers up, but is untested. To be safe, I have listed it in the “for parts” category, but it may be fine; I do not know.
The screen calls for the insertion of the operating system disk which I could not find. Full specs are easily found online. Included in this auction is everything pictured, and that is all:
-1997 Akai MPC2000
-Power supply cable
-Midi cable
-Manual on disk

PS: I was asked if there were lines on the screen while the unit is on, so I added two close-ups of the screen to the photos. I see no lines on the screen, but the graphic frame behind the text has faint lines which I assume are part of the graphic. Sorry about the photos, I don’t have a camera that takes good photos without a flash. ”
