MPC 2000

“If you are looking at this you probably already know what it is/does so I wont go into full details.

The floppy disk drive has been removed and replaced with a scsi cf card reader and this has an 8 gb card in it. This has the boot rom and some sounds on it.

It all works fine sampling is clean, pads are responsive. The only fault is the little red cap off the power button is missing (you can put your little finger in the hole to turn it on and off though.

“Akai MPC 2000 Center Studio Sequencer Sampler Untested.This just comes freshly out of a estate and was found in a closet.i did not find the plug so there is no way of me testing this and I know nothing about these ,so selling as is untested with no returns as i honestly have no clue if it works but it appears in good shape .when found the akai Disc was found inside the Disc player and ejects fine.it weighs 14 pounds so its very expensive to ship these. note: Someone just asked why 3 screws is missing on back side of casing on top, i honestly have no clue as this is exactly how i got it, the casing seems very tight and snug,there could be many reasons why screws are missing,if it ever had a repair or something was replaced inside im assuming or unless the srews were not tightened properly and loosened or it could really anything as i dont know its history. the estate sale i bought this from was run by a professional company not the family of the estate sale and when i purchased they said they did not know the history of it.it seems in pretty good shape otherwise.” Click here to visit listing on eBay

Please Note this MPC has not been fully expanded. It can easily be fully expanded to have 8 individual 1/4 inch jack outs and Akai EB-16 FX board installed, if correct parts and installation is applied.

“Akai MPC2000 in great working and cosmetic condition always kept in its original box. I bought this around 10 years ago and have only used it a handful of times.

It comes in the original box and with some floppy disks of samples including the original Akai 3 disc set – standard, funk and hip-hop.

It does need an operating system floppy disc to run, these are readily available from ebay and other places for around 10 pounds. I ran it on OS V1.72 but accidentally wiped the floppy disc!”
