This MPC2000 classic powers up via floppy using 1.72 operating system (included). The external 25 pin scsi port works perfectly. Never used the other features. At one time the sampler housed the 8-output board and digital in/out but were removed and sold many years ago. Great functional condition, screen fully in tact, known as having one of the best sequencers of the MPC series. 8 outs and Max RAM.

There is a Zip drive and the boot up for the MPC is on two of the Zip disks I provided. (floppy drive works as well but no disks included. boot up included on Zip drives which are far superior to floppy).

I also included a USB Zip drive and the power supplies, numerous 250 and 100 mb size Zip disks, and The MPC is housed in a metal carry case.

has absolutely brand new screen just installed 10 minutes ago. these screens cost a whole fortune, and now it’s a big advantage to enjoy ultimate clarity on the brand new display.

as for me personally- Classic 2k has better sound than the xl version. as an owner of both – this is definitely the impression that I had. possibly Classic 2k is the best sounding MPC from the affordable early series. everything else that sounds really good has turned into a cult and is way out from affordable range. everything produced later lacks something, soundwise, and interface becomes more crammed, cut, and abused.

I just turned this on and tracked out a beat from years ago. I just got a Roland MV 8800 and am selling this to free up some space.

The note variation slider does not work, I used the jog wheel to patch down samples.

The unit has marks and some paint is missing
