*All pads work, These are the version 1 pads so they often will ”double trigger” if trying to do semi-complex finger drumming but otherwise work great! Id recommend a pad upgrade in the future, but it all depends on what you want to use this machine for.
*All buttons work with a few exceptions. The tap/tempo button is a little wobbly but totally serves it purpose. The Q2/after button is a bit mushy but functional, missing knob cover. Also, the eject button for the card reader is missing- I just pull the card out with my fingers and never had a problem doing so.
*Any versions of JJOS on this machine is a free version.
*I replaced the red side covers with the black ones.
*Scratches throughout ( see pics )
* One bottom ” rubber foot ” is missing.

“Got an MPC Live, so this trusty workhorse needs to find a new home.

it’s got the maximum 128MB RAM and comes with the paid version of JJ0S2XL which is a massive improvement over the standard Akai OS.

I’ll also include 2 x 16Gb cards packed full of samples (mainly the Samples from Mars drums and synths but some other assorted stuff too) and a 4GB card I used for saving my projects.

Full disclosure: all the switches, pads and dials are working although pad 1 needs a bit more pressure than the others. A couple of the switches need a bit more pressure than others too, a common issue on these MPCs. The tac switches are easily obtained and it’s a simple fix if you know the right end of a soldering iron. There are quite a few surface marks and scratches although nothing deep or that’s has actually dented the metal. I’ve tried to show these in the photos. “ Click here to search for MPCs on eBay
