MPC 1000

” Up for sale is an Akai MPC 1000 Sampler / Drum Machine. Comes with everything pictured: MPC 1000, original box, power cord, and 4GB memory card.

I am the original owner and have had this for around 10 years now, probably 9 years of which it sat in it’s original box in my studio. (I have a lot of music equipment and this was the one that got neglected)

This unit is in excellent cosmetic and working condition. Only cosmetic flaws to note are a minor scuff on the silver turn wheel, and two spots on the housing that have a tiny knick about the size of a pin head. Otherwise pretty much like-new condition.

Upgrades & Features:
– This unit has a 160 GB hard drive
– This unit has maxed out 128MB RAM installed
– This unit has upgraded AKAI pads (a single piece) with replaced sensors from the original. Unlike some other units I’ve seen, the pads are in excellent condition.
– This unit has the fully functional, paid JJOS 2XL 3.69 operating system (a $123 value) installed.
– Some assorted samples from my sample library are included as pictured.
– Power cable is included.

Cons (read carefully):
– This item is used and has some nicks/scratches and a small crack on one of the end caps (pictured).
– While all the buttons work, a few of them (F4, mode, cursor right, cursor down) are a little finicky and less responsive than ideal. If I were keeping this unit, replacing button sensors would be the next project.

“AKAI MPC1000blk. Includes original box, user manuals, plus cables, power supply, 16GB CF card (contains several drum kits), fat grey pads, MPC unit. GREAT condition for it’s model. The ONLY issue that I have noticed with this unit is that sometimes the jog wheel takes an extra couple turns to move the cursor every once in a while, minor nuisance at most. Overall great machine.
