The Undo Seq button works but is a little loose/out of position. It can be repositioned and used without replacing the button or removing the cover. That said, it’s the Undo Seq button, which is relatively insignificant. You can keep it how it is, remove the cover and inspect the button, or choose to replace it.
It still clicks and works, but sometimes is slightly misaligned compared to its default position.
Button replacement is a fairly common occurrence on these devices. Buttons can be found online.
If you’d like to adjust or replace that button, it can be done pretty easily with a Phillips head screwdriver and/or by placing an order. The button is less than $10 plus shipping. If you check YouTube, you can find a tutorial, but it’s pretty much as easy as removing 9 screws, 2 sliders, lifting the cover, and adjusting or swapping out the button, which simply clips in and out of place once the cover is off. The cover has a slight lip on the front side, but this is not a difficult task.
I had a career change and haven’t been using the MPC 1000. It is still a prestigious, iconic, and versatile piece to which many music producers attest.
I priced it a little lower because of the button and to encourage more bidders to get involved. ” Click here to visit listing on eBay
