If looking at this listing then chances are you know what it does, industry standard sampler, AKAI set the benchmark with the MPC series. Reasonably portable (roughly the same size as a A4 sheet of paper)

“Up for grabs is an awesome, partially upgraded MPC1000. It has 128mb of RAM, the stock 128mb CF card with samples and has also had the MPCstuff “Fat Pads” upgrade which makes a surprising difference in how you play these machines. I wasn’t a believer until I put some on this machine (MPC user for 13+ years).

The screen is bright with no dead pixels or lines. Pads all working as they should. Sliders and knobs all good with nothing loose or wobbly. Some light scratches as you would expect with a unit of this age.”

“This is in nice shape, and working excellent. Has JJOS2XL v3.45 installed, 128MB of RAM, a 4GB Compact Flash card with content preloaded, and a carrying case. All pads / knobs and buttons, inputs and outputs working properly. Has some scratches and scuffs, see photos. The fader cap for Q1 fader is missing but the fader itself works without any issues. The left side panel is very slightly loose a wiggles just a little but is definitely attached and not at risk of coming off.
