“The unit works but it goes MUTE after 15-20 minutes. BUT when you turn it off and on again it continues to work. I don’t know the reason, it’s been like this for years. Effectively it works so I’m not listing as ‘spares or repair’.

“Akai Professional MFC42 Dual Analog filter.

The fault is that the right output channel doesn’t work, either from the headphones or the main sets of outputs, so the unit can only be used in mono. Everything else is perfect, just it cannot operate in stereo which means the dual filter independent operation on the left and right channels cannot be performed as normal.
