“I am considering selling my Akai CD3000XL sampler. I bought this many years ago and used it a few times. However, it has not been used now for a number of years. Although I am tempted to keep it, it seems a shame to have it sitting unused if someone can make use of it.
The sampler has the full 16 MWords of memory and uses OS 1.52 as shown in the photos.
When it was last used, it was working fine. However, I am unable to test this sampler properly now as I no longer have any discs to use with it except for 1 floppy disc.
This means the CD ROM drive has not been tested. It opens and closes and did work when last used but I cannot guarantee it still works as I don’t have any Akai CD ROMs to test it with.
I tried to format a floppy disc and the drive did format it so it seems to be working correctly as shown in one of the photos.
I tried sampling a sound and this all seemed fine and the sound saved to disc.
The backlight of the screen is out so will need replaced. The writing on the screen itself still looks fine but it is fairly hard to read without the backlight. The sampler is in decent condition with some marks as shown in the photos.” Click here to visit listing on eBay

“For sale is a Akai Professional Music Production Center 4000 (MPC4000). This unit is in great working conditions. Has normal wear and tear. The power inlet where the power cable is connected to cracked because the cable was still attached when it was shipped to me so I super glued it back together and works fine. Also the original internal hard drive (HDD) broke and was causing boot and loading issues so I removed it and it now automatically looks for a flash drive when inserted or CD drive. Other than that this MPC4000 works as intended.
