“There are two common issues with these units, and both have been sorted.
1. The Display goes out – A new Display Backlight has been fitted to this one, sourced from eBay
2. The original Akai 5v Power Supply fails, often with catastrophic results as there is no ‘Fail Safe’ (AKA Crowbar Circuit). This unit (as per picture) has been fitted with a high quality Switch Mode Power Supply, over-spec’d for the power demands of the Sampler, sourced from CPC and fitted by a qualified and experienced Technician.”
