“Akai MPC 60 II Roger Linn sampler / sequencer, selling this as I’ve moved on to digital compositions, nothing like the crunch on these converters. I don’t use it anymore and hope it moves on to somewhere where it’s more needed. So much history in this box.
Not going to relist specs, if you are viewing this you likely know what it is.
About this unit:
Recently serviced at DJ Fix NYC
Before being serviced a few buttons were not responsive / needed double pushing, and samples were recorded in grainy and static-y. Now the tact switches are new, working perfect, the sampler input circuitry has been replaced and should last a long time. Nothing has been changed about the converters, just the circuitry.
Recently replaced the floppy drive with a Teac 235hf A549 with the correct jumper settings, very low mileage on this drive, tested, working. The original drive that came with it still worked but was very inconsistent with error messages. Replacement was pulled from a MPC 2000, jumpers changed, working great now
Screen works perfect, no lines, a few brushes on the bezel detailed in the photo gallery
Upgraded OS 3.10
The case has some dirt from palms near the pads and play / start buttons, the case is missing a couple screws, the bottom of the case has a few dings, all of these flaws are detailed in pictures. They are only cosmetic, this has been fully tested, I’m a musician not an ebay reseller so when I say this it’s more than just powering it on. All functions are working. All switches have been deoxited and dusted, the fader has been lubed with deoxit f5. There’s been some miles put on this machine but it’s been cared for and recently restored to full operation. This shouldn’t need any repairs for a while once you buy it.” Click here to search for MPCs on eBay
